DESCRIPTION:Tom Parker\, Chief Executive Officer of Snoqualmie Valley Hospital will update us all about our friendly\, local Snoqualmie Valley Hospital. He'll talk about all of the services they provide the Valley\, the honor and responsibility of receiving their well deserved trauma designation and updates on the hospital's work to find partners in healthcare for the Valley.\n\n\n\nTom Parker:\n\nTom Parker started at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital in 2010 as the Chief Operating Officer and has been the CEO since June of 2016. He began working in hospitals at age 16\, as a surgical orderly at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City\, UT. While there\, he also worked as a pharmacy technician and then completed an administrative internship while earning a B.S. in Psychology at the University of Utah. He has a master's degree in Hospital Administration from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and an MBA in Finance from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business.\n\n \n\nTom completed his administrative fellowship at Legacy Health System in Portland\, OR. While at Legacy\, he worked in a variety of clinical operations positions including Manager of the Devers Eye Institute\, System-wide Director of Heart and Pulmonary Services\, Vice-President of Clinical Operations and Administrator of Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center.\n\n \n\nHe served as Vice President of Hospital and Community Development at Overlake Medical Center and was the first Executive Director for Camp Korey\, a camp for children with serious and life-threatening illnesses. He currently serves on the City of Snoqualmie Economic Development Commission and previously served on the American Heart Association Oregon Affiliate Board and chaired the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Gresham\, OR. He is an alumnus of the FBI Citizens' Academy and an Eagle Scout.\n\n \n\nTom and his wife\, Kristen\, reside in Redmond and have four adult children and four grandchildren.
