    Join us for on Friday December 9 at 11:30 for a 90 minute workshop with brainstorming, idea sharing and best practices information to help you grow your business and improve your profitability.
     
    Products are becoming increasingly commoditized. Services can be imitated or replicated. What is it that truly sets us apart from our competitors?
     
    Its our people! Having an engaged workforce makes all the difference in the world.
     
    Join us as we discuss:

        ·Recruiting and hiring – Where do you find the best people? How do you make your business attractive to them? Is there a difference between hiring baby boomers and millennials? (The answer to that one, by the way, is yes!)
     

        ·Compensation – How much should I pay? What can incentive plans look like? How do I keep my pay structure legally compliant?
     

        ·Pay that is not money – Are there things I can do that will be attractive besides offering health insurance? What kind of retirement plans can I offer that I can actually afford and don’t create a liability for me? Ever heard of a Section 132 plan? What about Health Reimbursement Accounts?

    Jim has an extensive background in business management and human resources having spent nearly 15 years as Director of HR for a large seafood processing company. Jim has been a minority owner in a closely held C Corp, Managing Member of an LLC and Partner in a Limited Partnership so he brings the business owner perspective to his discussions. Jim also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Washington as well as a current certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. In the past Jim has held designations as a Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist and Accredited Retirement Plan Consultant.
