Connecting Jobs with a Skilled Workforce ~ a Panel Discussion
The Chamber aims to serve the community by providing this panel discussion from local companies so we can learn how to assist our businesses attain the skilled workforce we know they need.
To begin this process, the Chamber, along with the Snoqualmie Valley Community Network, is collaborating with the school district to provide a new initiative of Career Exploration Fridays. Career Exploration Fridays provides students an opportunity to visit a variety of exciting local and Puget Sound area businesses to learn about a wide range of jobs. Students will be able to observe jobs in action and talk with professionals about their careers. Opportunities range from jobs which require limited skills training, to some that call for specialized certification, to others that need advanced degrees. The ultimate goal is to build connections between students, teachers, and businesses - to better inform all about career pathways, education options and opportunities available for students to pursue high wage, high demand jobs.
Attend the Chamber Luncheon to learn more from our local employers as well as hear an update on the success of this new initiative!
